Why you should start High Dose Vitamin C infusions.
Vitamin C is an antioxidant that you can get from foods, vitamins, and infusions. Vitamin C absorption is limited in the small intestine. Vitamin C chewable are 500 mg each. Mega-dosing of Vitamin C by mouth can result in stomach upset, gas, bloating, and diarrhea. This is why High Dose Vitamin C (high-dose IVC) should be given through an I.V. (intravenous). The I.V. route allows dosing from 10 grams to 100 grams without any side effects. The High Dose Vitamin C will take between one hour and three, depending on comfort.
The anti-oxidant effect of High Dose Vitamin C helps savage free radicals in the cells of our bodies. It helps reduce inflammation, which is helpful for many auto-immune disorders and to speed up recovery after surgery. Vitamin C should not be used 7 days prior to surgery. The suggested protocol for pre-surgical infusions are 10 days prior. Auto-immune disorders such as Rheumatoid arthritis, Lyme’s disease, Irritable Bowel syndrome and more can benefit from Vitamin C infusions with reducing inflammation and symptoms. Cancer patients use the higher limit of Vitamin C (75 grams to 100 grams) infusions to help kill stem cells of the cancer and help with chemotherapy side-effects and as an adjuvant to their cancer treatments. High-dose IVC has many, many other benefits including alleviating allergies and improving skin problems.
High Dose Vitamin C (greater than 15 grams) will need a prior lab (G6PD) which can be easily obtained through your primary care.
